Summary of Amendments Made in Order Under the Rule to H.R. 2216 – Supplemental Appropriations Act for FY 2001 PART A – AMENDMENT CONSIDERED AS ADOPTED Young (FL) - Deletes the Employment and Training Administration Training and Employment Services rescission. PART B – AMENDMENT MADE IN ORDER Toomey/Flake/Tancredo - Deletes the $389 million rescission in FEMA Disaster Relief Funds. Enacts an across-the-board cut in Fiscal Year 2001 non-defense discretionary spending of 0.33%. The across-the board reduction achieves savings of approximately $1 billion, sufficient to offset the non-defense, non-Veterans portions of the supplemental not currently offset and to replace the savings achieved through the FEMA rescission.
